National Type II Diabetes Screening Day Thursday 19th January

Type II Diabetes will feature prominently in the upcoming series. With 5% of the population with Type II Diabetes, Operation Transformation hopes to raise huge awareness to a disease that bears chronic complications for those diagnosed. On Thursday 19th January 2012 Operation Transformation, together with Irish Medical Organisation President Dr. Ronan Boland and the doctors of Ireland, will hold National Type II Diabetes Day.

City Square Shopping Centre where Santa arrived on a Fire Engine yesterday.

Santa and Mrs.Clause arrived with one of their elves in a Waterford City Fire Engine on Sunday last to City Square Shopping Centre, also in shot are Rosanne, Lilly-May and Samuel McGee.

Visit Santa in his fab grotto beside Kylemore Cafe in City Square.
Santa will arrive in City Square on Sunday 27th November at 2.30pm.

Santa and the Tall Ships Story Competition

City Square has teamed up with the Munster Express and Graphic Image to create a unique Christmas story book. We are looking for school children to create their own original story involving Santa and the Tall Ships. The story can be about any element of Christmas but it must involve Santa and the Tall Ships in Waterford. The winning story will then be published and sold for charity in City Square.

Halloween Fun in City Square

Join Square Bear on Monday 31^st October from 2 – 5pm for Halloween fun in City Square.
There will be free face painting to get the children ready for trick or treating and watch out for the free lollies from Square Bear.
