Run by Cathal O’Connor and his French wife Claire, Amandine was set up in Dungarvan in 2003.
Cathal perfected his trade working in French bakeries for four years and luckily he has brought back the best recipes to Ireland. Amandine specialises in traditional authentic French gateaux and tarts, which are all made from the finest ingredients to ensure superior quality products. (No preservatives, no additives are used). Amandine’s new shop which opened mid-February in City Square, Waterford is opened daily Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 12am to 5pm. Every day you will find on offer a selection of freshly baked mouth watering Danish, Muffins and Scones and of course our exclusive range of fresh confectionery, our delicious Chocolate Slices, Fruit Slices, Vanilla Slices, Lemon Meringue, Mix Fruit, Almond tarts and Eclairs ...etc, and of course our now famous Belgian Chocolate and Profiterole Gateaux, Fresh Cream Swiss Rolls and Sponges. Quiches, Pizza slices are also now on offer. With a couple of days notice you can also order your Birthday Cake (Fresh Cream or Butter Cream Sponge) with the writing of your choice. Bring a photo or choose one from our catalogue and you can make your own personalized Photocake! Come to Amandine’s new shop in Waterford City Square and you will experience “a real taste of France in Ireland”!
